Puff Sleeve Cardigan... an update on our favorite spring acessory

LOVE LOVE LOVE puff sleeve cardigans!

Just when you thought cardigans couldn't get anymore feminine... here comes the puff sleeves!
Adorable when paired with a floral spring dress and just casual enough when paired with a tank and jeans. Cardigans are universally flattering. They're a cool and breezy way to cover our arms... a great alternative to a too warm trench... especially here in the deep south where we barely have a spring! Straight from winter to summer... lol :-) When shopping for one, make sure the sleeves aren't too 80's to avoid the 'line backer' look... a slight crinkle in the shoulders is all you need!
Here are some links to a few I stumbled upon :-)

My new obsession... Wide Brim Hats!

We've all noticed the influence of celebrity fashion designer, Rachel Zoe (I may be her biggest fan!). She has been sporting and recommending wide brim hats this season and at first I didn't know if I agreed... At a glance the hats seemed a little dated and something my grandmother wore while tending to her garden. But after a little research online and trying a few on myself, I've not only found that they come in chic styles, shapes, and colors... they actually look great and serve a big purpose!
Wide brim hats complete a bohemian look when paired with one of this season's hottest items... the maxi dress! Add a layer of extra long chain necklaces, some chunky bangles, and a pair of gladiator sandals. Voila!
However, my favorite feature of this hat is the protection from the sun it lends to the precious skin on our faces and neckline, which tend to age faster than the rest of our body.
When shopping for this fabulous accessory, make sure the brim is extra wide and floppy to avoid the 'hat lady' look. Look for some with colorful bows, scarves, or raffia tied around them.

Check out a few options I found...
